New Shooting Format Coming Soon!
September 8, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

A new shooting format will be unveiled at Fairfield Extreme Sports on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM. THE .43 CALIBER COWBOYS QUICK DRAW ASSOCIATION, which is still in its infancy will have its founders out at the field (FAIRFIELD EXTREME SPORTS PAINTBALL), which is located at 2325 Cordelia Road, Fairfield, California 94533.
Heading up the event will be Steve Reider, Bill Holstein, and Garret Lui. Bill Holstein, is the gentlemen who has pioneered the old west revolvers that are used for the competition. Bill has mastered a technique to take BB and pellet pistols (old west replicas) and turn them into revolvers that shoot .43 caliber paintballs. Although the revolvers shoot paintballs, Bill does not consider them traditional paintball guns. Bill states that “It is not the traditional game of paintball”, but with that said he wanted to keep the familiarity of the sport.
The paint is loaded into real .44 caliber Super Mag cartridges. 12- gram, CO2 cartridges are used to power the revolver. If you love the old west heritage or seen some of the western movies (3:10 to Yuma, Tombstone, The Quick and the Dead, The Shootist, and Outlaw Josey Wales, just to name a few) you will enjoy this new and exciting sport and format. Quick draw the cowboy way! It can’t get any better than that.
You can’t get any closer to the real deal and be able to face off with you opponent using six shooters in a competitive quick draw shootout. This is not the same as the Cowboy Fast Draw Association. That Cowboy Fast Draw Association uses real guns with wax bullets (speed of shot is 675 FPS) which is shot at targets, while being timed. Our format for the used by the .43 Caliber Cowboy Quick Draw Association, will allow us to compete against each other using .43 caliber paintball. The speed of the paintball is around 275 FPS in Bill Holstein’s custom guns. You can shoot standard targets for practice, but it will be cowboy versus cowboy in a quick draw format.
Bill Holstein is the developer/inventor of this revolver system. He is a machinist with exceptional gunsmithing skills. He has work on this system for years and has done something that no else has done with old west, replica revolvers. The revolvers are custom made one at a time. It takes Bill, seven plus hours to build the six shooters. Bill will be introducing the revolvers and allowing you to demo them. Some of his very own personal revolvers.
People who attend the meeting will be able to fire the revolvers and they will be a show and tell presentation by Bill. You can obtain more information on Bill and his revolvers on his Facebook page at Bill’s 40/43 Paintball Revolver and on YouTube at Bill Holstein at CCM.
Steve Reider is the primary founder of THE .43 CALIBER COWBOYS QUICK DRAW ASSOCIATION and he will discuss the vision of the organization and how he and Bill envision the associations growth in the future. Once formed the association will have competitive quick draw competition along with other shooting events. The association is looking for serious people who would enjoy this format, loves competition and has admiration for the old west and its heritage, not to mention the old western movies. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE INITIAL MEETING AND EVENT.
